Our Agency's Roots

About Us

Our Story
Back in 1999, Crimson Fly was a full-service traditional marketing firm. We did all the typical things a marketing agency would do. We did branding, print ads, websites, digital marketing, tons of consulting, but no social media (don’t forget, Zuckerburg was still practically in diapers).  About 10 years later when social media was in full swing, we found that businesses knew they needed it, but didn’t know how to get it.  Was it just for kids?  Was it here to stay?  Can it make their business money?  We found ourselves asking the same questions.  So we did what any young, inspiring, semi-geeky group of marketers would do.  We researched it to death.  For nearly 6 months, we flipped it, turned it, hacked it, uncovered it, dissected it, scrutinized it, dismembered it…and well…we quickly decided after 6 short months, that the answers to those questions were no,  yes and HECK YES. It was at that point we made a unanimous decision that Social Media Marketing is where we needed to be and made it our primary industry of choice.

So…..we packed our bags, and took a road trip to NYC in search of some of the smartest talent we could find.   Our findings were successful.  Combined with our existing team of social media marketers and strategists, we quickly became committed to pushing the boundaries of social media marketing.  Our staff has worked with brands like Google, Yahoo, Livestrong, the American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warrior Project and more, on significant social media projects. Crimson Fly’s approach to social media and influencer-based marketing is changing the way the world sees marketing opportunities.

What’s the deal with lifestyle bloggers?
Our team has discovered that social media isn’t just confined to Facebook and Twitter. The big results that our clients are often looking for come from influencer-based marketing and blogger outreach. Crimson Fly has combined a little bit of PR and a little bit of Social Media expertise to amass a Rolodex of the most influential mommy bloggers on the web. Our team works every day to maintain great relationships with the top mommies on the net so that our clients enjoy easy access to some of their target market’s best influencers.

You can’t track ROI, can you?
We bet you’ve heard before that it is “impossible to track ROI on social media”. Crimson Fly wants you to know that statement is simply not true. Crimson Fly works with a super handy system that links up with your CRM (or ours if you don’t have one already) to track and measure the value of individual customers.
